A little about me and my journey: I’m a registered nurse, balancing the exhilarating chaos of a nursing career with the joy of raising two spirited boys. My healthcare journey began as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Long-Term Care, a role I held for nine years. This period, while demanding, was incredibly rewarding and solidified my unwavering dedication to patient care.
I earned my Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) in 2018 at the College of Coastal Georgia and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2020 at Wilmington University, and I’m currently working on my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Wilmington University as well. My diverse nursing experience includes Medical-Surgical Nursing, Hemodialysis, Long-Term Care, and Family & Pediatric Medicine. I’m also certified in Infection Control, Epidemiology, and as a Director of Nursing Services (DNS-CT).
My journey is far from over. I aim to further my education and skills in the coming years. I also plan to continue teaching life-saving skills and contribute to the field of nursing through research and advocacy. In 2024, I added another feather to my cap by becoming an American Heart Association (AHA) Instructor. I teach life-saving skills like Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid. My career is fueled by a desire to learn and continuously improve patient care.
